She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barrett and Conzatia Ashley Barrett; and her sisters, Jessie Owens Roberts, Wilma Valentine, Charlene Camiola and Wanda Rizzo.

She is survived by: her husband Ben Brewer; her children, Tammy Smith (David), James Knight and Sandi Castellaw (Chris); her siblings, Janice Rogers, Jim Barrett (Joyce) and Ronnie Barrett (Meschelyn); and her uncle Jack (Edith Barrett). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
