She was predeceased by: her son David; her daughter-in-law Michelle; her brothers, Donald, Harold and Gene; and her parents, Cecil Thomas Carter and Beulah Musick.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Atwood; her daughter Valerie Flint (Bryan); her daughter-in-law Lisa Atwood; her sons, Michael Atwood and Austin Atwood (Shana); her grandchildren, Ricky Shaw, Courtney Warwick (Drew), Joe Atwood (Whitney), Jesse Atwood, Geena Atwood, Blake Atwood and Carter Atwood; and her great grandchildren, Audrey, Ally, Austin Shaw, Carleigh, Finleigh, Tucker Warwick, Corbin, Raya Atwood and David Oliver Atwood.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 S Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
