It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lester Garland (Mountain City, Tennessee), who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fleet Garland and Lucy Garland; and his brother Dewey Harold Garland. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles (Jean Garland) of Arcadia, Florida and Brenda Blondell of Elizabethton, TN; his siblings-in-law, Idoma Garland, Louise, Dave Hershberger of Spartanburg, SC, Brenda Morley of Shady Valley, TN, Lester, Teresa Morley of Bristol, TN, Lonnie Morley of Shady Valley, TN, James Morley of Georgia, Kermit, Alice Morley of Shady Valley, TN, Kenneth and Paula Morley of Gray, TN; his nephew Tad Morley; and his close friends, Evonne, Lloyd, Kim and William.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain City, TN 37683).
