She was predeceased by: her parents, Alta Mitchell and James Mitchell; and her brother James J. Hairston, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Merry (Randy), Elizabeth Morris (Bob), Ruth Pacheco (Larry), Jean Bowen, Anne Bowles (Jim), Marieke Castellanos (Tony), James J. Hairston III (Lea) and Peggy Cook (Bob). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and beloved nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any donations are sent to North Boulevard Church of Christ, or a church of your choosing, in her name.
