She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Edward and Lettie Connelly Hinds; and her siblings, Linda Hinds Orr, Carl E. Hinds Jr., John E. Hinds and J. Connelly Hinds.
She is survived by: her husband Dorris Edwin Jernigan, Sr.; her children, Joanna Jernigan Austin (David) of Kennesaw, Georgia, Dorris Edwin Jernigan, Jr. (Sheri) of Murfreesboro, Lettie Jernigan Primeaux (Alan) of Marietta, Georgia and Amy Jernigan Sheridan (Kevin) of Kennesaw, Georgia.; her brother William Luther Hinds (Julie); and her sister-in-law Lucy Fay Hinds. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
