He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hermes and Annalise Glomb Hermes; and his brothers, Walter and Arnold Hermes. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Maxanne Hermes, Alexander Hermes, Allison Arnold and Lauren Gunn (Jason); and his siblings, Kara Novia, Bill, George, Harold and Ray Hermes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
For the last year he had fought a courageous battle against multiple myeloma and was near remission, when he contracted Covid-19.
