It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Lavern Guthrie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on July 5, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Layfette Jett and Ida Nelms Jett. She is survived by: her husband Hollis G. Guthrie; her children, Dewayne Lauderdale, Demetria Joines (Jerry) and Sandra Bryant; and her sister Helen Smith. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
