She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Frank "Doby" Vaughan; her children, Joel H. Vaughan and Ivy Daphne Vaughn-Baucom; and her parents, Horace Harvey Hale and Lillian Baird Hale.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Crutcher (Chris) of Murfreesboro and Lydia Nidiffer of Murfreesboro; her granddaughter Effie Berry (Collin) of Unionville; her siblings, Marion Hale (Martha) of Carthage and Peggy Alcorn (Robert) of Murfreesboro; and her daughter-in-law Suzye Matthews of Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Green Hill Baptist Church.
