He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Johnston Hughes Combs; his stepsons, Tony Hughes (Laurie) and Mark Hughes (Nancy); his grandchildren, Matthew Hughes, Callie Hughes, Tyler Brent and Stephen Brent; and his great grandchildren, John Marc Brent and Vina Anne Brent.
