He was predeceased by : his parents, Grace Griffin and Jonny Allen; and his brother Charles Allen. He is survived by : his wife Debbie Austin Allen; his daughters, Brandy Allen and Kim Tidmore; his stepdaughters, Amy Sorrelli and Kimberly Cagle; and his sisters, Angie Bell and Wanda Hillcrest. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
