He is survived by: his wife Winona Benson of Winchester; his children, Bart Benson (Katie) of Lebanon and Leah Smith (Larry) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Jarred Benson (Kelly) of Lebanon, Joshua Benson of Nashville, Lauren Smith of Fayetteville and Lance Smith of White House; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Kinsley and Madelyn; his sister Frances Wingo of Chattanooga; his stepsons, Doyle Scott (Michelle) of Murfreesboro and David Scott of Murfreesboro; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob, Shannon and Sarah; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ryder and Violet.
