He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Esther Byers (Cannon); his siblings, Montez Grant and Troy Byers; his daughter Rhonda Byers; and his granddaughter Victoria Byers.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Jane O'Dell; and his children, Robert (Brenda) of Broken Arrow, Rebecca Aguilar (Jacinto) of Columbia and Ron Byers (Traci) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
