He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bell and Lela Bell; his wife Nellie Bell of Virginia; and his daughter Sandra Jean Bell Hunter. He is survived by: his children, Brenda G. Bell Hatcher and James R. Bell, Jr. (Janine); and his grandchildren, Erin Hale (Austin), Justin Ray Bell, Alyssa Katherine Waldron (Caleb), Tony Hatcher and Jeannie Mullinix (Andrew). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Disaster Relief in Mr. Bell's honor.
