He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Leland Goad and Mary Jean Young Goad. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Curl Goad; his daughters, Gracelyn and Kelly Goad of Murfreesboro; and his siblings, Michael, Pat Goad of Nashville and Mary Goad of Hermitage.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club Foundation in his memory.
