With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juanita Smelcer Darnell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant A. Smelcer Sr. and Betty Lou Burton Smelcer; her husband Dorris Darnell; and her siblings, Grant Smelcer Jr. and Helen Smelcer Youngblood.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Darnell Zitney (Steve) and Scott Darnell (Rhonda); her brother William "Newt" Smelcer of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Brad Zitney, Blake Zitney (Becca), Britney Darnell Warren (Jamie) and Brandon Darnell (Morgan); her great grandchildren, Aiden Warren, Anna Scott Warren, Brody Zitney, Rhett Zitney, Turner Darnell, Luke Darnell and Leo Kate Darnell; and her niece Leisha Boss. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
