Lynda Faye Shapcott Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynda Faye Shapcott of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelah Armstrong and Katie Armstrong (Melton); her daughter Denise Shapcott Chumbley; her siblings, Ray Houston Armstrong, Walter Irving Armstrong, Paul Byford Armstrong, Robbie Armstrong Smith and Bernice Armstrong Brandon; and her nephew-in-law Billy Henson.
She is survived by: her son William "Butch" Shapcott; her grandchildren, Matthew Chumbley, John Shapcott, Katie Shapcott and Joseph Allen; her caregivers, Patsy Henson and Sherri Goforth (Steve); and her cousins, Linda Armstrong Sherrill and Sue Maxwell. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; nieces, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Care of Rutherford County or Fair Havens Baptist Church.
