She was predeceased by: her husband Joe B. Melton; her son Joey Wayne Melton; her parents, Clarence Smithson and Thene Nokes Smithson; and her sister Thelma Crosslin.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Donnell (Albert) of Auburntown, Sandra Stiles (Mark) of Dayton and Rex Melton of Woodbury; her grandchildren, Abby Stiles of Dayton and Lexie Melton of McMinnville; her brother Danny Smithson (Louise) of Chattanooga; and her brother-in-law Ray Melton (Jean) of Thompson Station.
