He was predeceased by: his parent Quentin Adams; his wife Maxine Wood Adams; and his son Peter Allen Adams. He is survived by: his parent Ruby O'Leary Adams; and his daughters, Jo Ann Hartsell of Murfreesboro and Hannah Koehler (Ron) of Hixson, TN. He is also survived by grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
