She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Stroop Sr. and Fannie Belle Holmes Stroop; and her siblings, I. C. Stroop Jr. and Frances Irene Rentschler. She is survived by: her daughter Melinda Elrod of Nolensville; and her brother Ernest P. Stroop. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
