Ray D. Mitchell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray D. Mitchell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, born in Corbin, Kentucky, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Theo Murrell Mitchell and Opal Mitchell; his sister Nancy Jackson Smith; and his sister-in-law Nancy Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Rex (Kevin) and John Mitchell (Michelle) of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Amanda Rex, Brian Rex, Cody Rex of South Bend, Kyle Mitchell (Abigail) of Jacksonville, Marley Mitchell, Carson Mitchell and Riley Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Oliver Rex, Alyssa Rex, Aidyn Rawlins, Benson Rawlins, Price Mitchell and Jude Mitchell; his brothers, Bob Mitchell, Willard Mitchell (Judy), Murrell Mitchell Jr. (Pat), Carson Mitchell (Linda), Nile Mitchell (Kyle) and Mike Mitchell (Elisha) of Corbin, Kentucky.; his uncles, Bill Mitchell and Dell Sams (Donna); his aunt Wilhoit (Ted); his brother-in-law Terry Lindsey (Linda) of Holiday; and his wife Linda Kay Lindsey. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
