He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Tinsley and Ida Mai Jakes Ferrell; and his brother Cornelius Alexander "Alex" Ferrell. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Marie Graves Ferrell; his daughters, Lee Polk (John) of Murfreesboro, Lynn Anton (Jim) of Morganton and Dawn Clements (Bruce) of Houston; and his grandchildren, Michelle Polk Harvill (Chuck) of Murfreesboro, John Houston Polk III of Murfreesboro, Skye Haralson Graham (Chris) of Cornelius, Windy Haralson Gardner (Charlie) of Moor Park, Will Clements of Naples, Ross Clements (Kate) of Houston and Benjamin Clements (Amy) of Missouri City.
In lieu of flowers, friends may give a memorial gift to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in memory of Mr. Ferrell.
