He was predeceased by: his parents, William Douglas and Maude Bailey Luster; and his brothers, Earl, Wilmer and Paul Luster.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Redman Luster; his sons, Robert Luster, Jr. (Annette) of San Diego, CA, David Luster (Celma) of Petaluma, CA and Steven Luster (Lourdes) of Murfreesboro, TN; and his grandchildren, Malte Farnaes (Erin), Lauge Farnaes (Nicole) of San Diego, CA, Patrick Luster of Petaluma, CA, Robert William Luster (Sabrina) of Germany, Jannie Elizabeth Joyce Luster of Sparta, TN, Emily Tsoumbos (Tyler) of Murfreesboro, TN., Sara of Murfreesboro, TN. and Samantha Dean of Murfreesboro, TN.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church building fund or the Children's Discovery House in memory of Mr. Luster.
