He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Payne and Mayme Madewell Payne; his grandmother Cora Madewell; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Chapman and Roger Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Payne (Kaci), Matthew Payne and Cora Elizabeth Payne; and his siblings, Deborah Chapman of Murfreesboro, Lois Williams of Denton, TX, Elizabeth West of Smyrna, Sam Payne (Beth) of Franklin, TN and Sarah Wilson of Murfreesboro.
