With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verretta Jean Pittman (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on May 23, 2018 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James; her daughter Karen; her siblings, Dale Baker, Byron Baker and Vernoise Andrews; and her great grandchild Summar Nixon.

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Summar (Carl David); her grandchildren, Karen Nixon (Phil) and David Summar (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Seth, Taylor, Madison and Roland.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, or the charity of one's choice in memory of Jean.
