He was predeceased by: his parents, J. F. "Mac" and Mary Frances McWhorter; and his siblings, Peggy Massey, Shirley Gregory and Johnny Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara McWhorter; his children, Chris McWhorter, Niki Erle (Dan), Jay McWhorter (Starr), Amber Vasquez (Arturo), Monica Dardon (Ludin), Ashley Shrom (Chris), Autumn McWhorter, Kelsey McWhorter and Destiny Spain; and his sister Judy Kelley (Leslie). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
