He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Shelton and Ruby Woodard Shelton; his wife Janet Louise Shelton; and his sisters, Alline and Ann Shelton.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Newman (Marlisa), Michael L. Newman (Kurt Eckman) and Jennifer Darling (Robert Herrmann); and his grandchildren, David Newman, Ian Newman, Abby Darling, Matt Darling and Lawson Darling.
