He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Vaughn Ognio; his parents, Fortunato Ognio and Nellie Radford Ognio; and his siblings, David Ognio and Elizabeth Cole.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa O. Barnett (Ralph) of Hendersonville; his grandson Braxton W. Wilson (Hayley) of Brentwood; his brother Clyde Ognio (Arleen) of Fayetteville, Georgia; his son John Vaughn (Sandra) of Murfreesboro; and his brother-in-law L. C. Cole of Fayetteville, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
