With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty J. Akers of Nashville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas W. Akers; and her sister Meredith Goodwin. She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Akers (Beth) and Tim Akers (Kate); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Riley, Claire and T. J. Akers. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory (6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209).
