She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Oakley Angel and Carrie Mae Angel; her husband Fred Garrett; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Armstrong, Judy Jones, Carol Kuffrey, Robert "Bud" Angel, Jr. and William "Billy" Angel.

She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Carpenter (David) and Mark Garrett (Teresa); her granddaughter Michelle Gares (Calen); her great grandchildren, Keegan and Ellie Gares; and her brother Jerry Angel (Darlene).
