He was predeceased by: his father James Haywood; his wives, Rose Ann Haywood and Peggy Haywood; his daughter Hope Marie; his mother Ola May Haywood; his siblings, Oscar Haywood, David Jasper Haywood, Gerald Haywood, Bernice Haywood and Joyce Edison; his grandson Coty Craddock; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Landon Haywood.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie Haywood (Angie), Doris Ann Egbert (Scott), Ronnie Haywood, Regina Transue (Bryon) and Sonny Reddiker (Patsy); and his sister Sue Meeker. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
