James Franklin McCreary III Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Franklin McCreary III (Nashville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Tucker McCreary. He is survived by: his wife Merrill Maxwell McCreary of Charlotte, NC; his children, Jay (Skyler), Catherine (Connor), Max (Kris), Allie (Stephen) and Esme (Manuel); his grandchildren, Easton, Brooks and Briley (Jay); his sons, Oliver and Henry (Connor); his father J. Franklin McCreary; his stepmother Debbie McCreary of Brentwood, TN; and his brothers, Josh (Staci) and Jason (Shelby). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ (5120 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the following organizations that are meaningful to James and his family: Ciudad de Angeles (http://www.ciudaddeangeles.org), Inc., an orphanage in Cozumel, Mexico.
