With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Sheffield Brown (Nashville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Watt Sheffield and Savannah Vinson Sheffield; her husband Robert Marcus Brown; and her siblings, Hazel Sheffield, George Hubbard Sheffield and William Clyde Sheffield.
She is survived by: her daughters, French L. Brown, Winfrey E. Brown (Wendy) and Karseem A. Johnson; and her siblings, Thomas Ramsey Sheffield, Jimmie Andrew Sheffield of Ruffin, NC and Gladys Sheffield Richardson of LaVergne, TN. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Hills Funeral Home & Crematory (2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Middle Tn State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
