She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Adkins Sr. and Addie Adkins (Gosey); her husband William German Carothers; and her siblings, Manuel Adkins Jr., Walter Adkins, Dorsay Ford, Mary Adkins Childress, Maviron Adkins, Melanie Adkins and Reginald Adkins.
She is survived by: her children, George C. Carothers of Atlanta, GA, William D. Carothers (Alwanda), Don E. Carothers (Angela) and Brenda A. Carothers; and her grandchildren, Shameca Harris, Carlton Blakley, Kiya Reed, Adam Carothers, Leah Carothers, Chaz Carothers, Kayla Carothers and Alex Carothers. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Rebecca's name to Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro, TN. 1629 Williams Dr, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
