He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Amerongen and Leona Van Amerongen. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Van Amerongen (Cosgrove); his siblings, Jean Ellis, Jerry Van and Donald Van (Chris); and his pets, Gus and Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Prior to the pandemic, this was an annual party, with plans for another visit this year.
