He was predeceased by : his wife Nancy; his brother Phillip; and his parents, Kenneth Elva Rush and Henrietta Jane Boyle Rush. He is survived by : his children, Jeff (Tonya) and Stephanie (Michael Spears); and his grandchildren, Archer and Lauren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Woodmont Christian Church, 3601 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215.
