She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bullard and Lillian Ethel Bullard; her husbands, D. W. Thaxton, Jr. and Hobson Byars; her children, Muzette Sexton and Winston Thaxton, III; her grandson Gregg Davis; her son-in-law Steve Tyrrell; and her siblings, Isabel Jeffords, Ethel Maude Bowen, Edna Crawford and Herbert Bullard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Galloway (Jack), Wanda Davis (Mike) and Kathy Tyrrell; and her children-in-law, Joy Thaxton and Ralph Sexton. She is also survived by 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nashville First Church of the Nazarene (510 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Victory Chapel.
