He is survived by : his wife Barbara Hobbs (Holzapfel); his children, Ellen Fournier (Tryon), Brent Hobbs (Christina), Emily Hobbs, Blair Hobbs and Ben Hobbs (Kayla); and his grandchildren, Amelia, Dominica, Ruby, Lazio and Everett (Gus).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Father Ryan High School, St. Henry School or the Helen and Everett Holzapfel scholarship fund at Christ the King School.
