She was predeceased by : her parents, J. E. Williams, and Nettie Williams, Sr.; and her sisters, Dora Mae Atkins, Beatrice Carney and Emma Jane Waldrop.

She is survived by : her husband William L. Vest; her children, William L. Vest, Jr. (Teresa) and Malinda Vest (Jeff); her grandsons, Travis Vest (Mady) and Alex Vest; and her siblings, Barbara Bounds, Carolyn Blake (Kenneth) and Jack Williams (Carol).
