With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Caroleen Sue Lawson (New Tazewell, Tennessee), born in Monroe, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Langford and Dorothy Langford; and her son Charles "Chuck" Hood. She is survived by: her husband Ernest "Bug" Lawson; her daughter Michele "Nikki" Bass (Marty); her stepdaughter Becky Maddox (Jeff); her siblings, Leonard Langford (Maria) and Linda Hensley (Mark); her grandchildren, Haley Bartley (Noah) and Jordan Keck (Mariah Hensley); and her great grandchildren, Asher, Killian Keck and Lucy Bartley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home (1106 TN-33, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Middlesboro Cemetery.
