He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Massengill and Lena Massengill. He is survived by: his brother Hollis Massengill; his wife Lola Massengill; his children, Dennis Massengill (Sue) of New Tazewell, Joe David, Jackie Massengill of New Tazewell, Dewayne and April Massengill of New Tazewell; his grandchildren, Matt Massengill, LeAnn Massengill (James Knight), Dakota Massengill (Samantha Massengill), Jared Massengill, Taylor Massengill (Matt Williams) and Austin Massengill (Qurstin Massengill); his great grandchildren, Colin, Olivia Massengill and Skyler Knight; and his brothers, Oscar (Kay Massingill), Cletis (Lois Massingill), Olan (Goldie Massengill), Henry (Mary Massengill) and Charles (Phyllis Massengill).
