He was predeceased by : his parents, N. C. "Poley" Coker and Annie Ketchum Coker; and his siblings, Alvin Coker, Bill Coker, Sue Smith, Dorothy Navin, Jennie Tucker, Myra Jean Horner and Peggy Peevyhouse.

He is survived by : his children, Philip Coker (Tammy) of Dyersburg, Marcia King of Dyersburg and Lisa Tyus (Shaun) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his siblings, Charles Coker of Gleason, Tennessee, Alice Teague (Jim) of Dyersburg and Pat Holt (Terry) of Garland, Texas; and his grandchildren, Matt Coker (Micky), Anna Brooke Gates (Daniel), Nicholaus King, Rachel Tyus and Natalie Tyus. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Rehoboth Cemetery (891 Tucker Rd, Newbern, TN 38059).
