She was predeceased by: her parents, W. B. Atkins and Alice Atkins; her son Dwayne Valentine; and her grandson Evan Valentine. She is survived by: her sister Carolyn Black (Clayton) of Hartford; and her nephew Jordan Black of Hartford. She is also survived by several aunts, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Home Cemetery (2350 Holt Town Rd, Newport, TN 37821).
