He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Felts Hitt; and his parents, Maurice Hitt and Willa G. Hitt. He is survived by: his sister Betty Schwartz (Karl); his son Ronald Hitt (Hope); his grandchildren, Christopher Hitt (Erica) and Abigail C. Hitt; and his great grandchild Jonah Ray Peach.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nolensville First United Methodist Church.
