She was predeceased by : her husband Clyde Alton Speaks; her daughter Carolyn Jean Speaks; and her parents, Walter Weaver and Desta Weaver. She is survived by : her son Dewaine Speaks; her daughter-in-law Ellen Speaks; her great grandchildren, Allison (Henry), Andrew Whitener, Laura (Speaks), Kevin Davis, Rebecca Henry and Aaron Speaks; and her cousin Betty West of Palm Harbor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, 135 Fairview Church Road, Heiskell, TN 37754.
