It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kate Penland Amos (Oak Ridge, Tennessee), born in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Oden Penland and Effie Patterson Penland; her husband Randall B. Amos; her siblings, Edwin Penland, Carl Penland and Bessie Hudson; and her nieces, Donna Richardson and Sheila Hudson.
She is survived by : her sisters, Mabel Penland and Elaine Griffies; and her nieces and nephews, Anne Bissett, Sharon, Tim Rose, Michael Penland, John Richardson, Joyce and Randy Isenhour.
