It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandy Gail Fortenberry McMurray of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Fortenberry and Rachel Fortenberry (Richards); her siblings, Brenda Maples, Ricky and Randy Fortenberry; and the father of her children Gene McMurray.
She is survived by: her siblings, Kathy McCloud, Karen Johnson, Charles and JB Fortenberry; her children, Holly Barker (Heinz), Travis and Matthew McMurray; her godson Matthew Verso (Jarnigan); her stepdaughter Gina Parham (Zach); and her grandchildren, Steven Cannon III, Breanna McCarty, Emma Barker, Silas and Israel Parham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Karns High School.
