It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Ray Gowen of Old Hickory, Tennessee, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Huel Gowen and Verna Mae Gowen (Bobo); and his sisters, Marjorie Elaine Moore and Edith Nell Rowland. He is survived by: his wife Doris Fay Gowen (Holloway); his children, Melanie Hinson (Eddie) and Chris Gowen; his grandchildren, Clifton Schrader, Cayla Johnson (Chris) and Ariel Lucille Gowen; and his siblings, Wilson Thomas Gowen (Betty), Jerry Gowen (Corinne) and Vickie Nicholson.
