He is survived by: his wife Catherine Foster; his children, Carey Meredith Swann, III (Ann) of Cape Carteret, NC, Mary Lou Swann of Decatur, GA and Catherine "Betsy" Swann Rouse of Kinston, NC; his grandchildren, Brittany Swann Bedford (Sam) of Wake Forest, NC, Brannan Elizabeth Swann of Washington, NC, Joshua Andrew Rouse of Kinston, NC and Daniel Lynn Rouse of Kinston, NC; and his great grandchildren, Deacon Paul Bedford, Miller James Bedford and Adilynn Blue Rouse. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
