It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris W. Sowell (Old Hickory, Tennessee), who passed away on March 6, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Williamson and Etta McHollin Williamson; her children, James Sowell (Amanda), Sheila Barnes (Clarence) and Samuel Sowell; her grandchildren, William, Tracey White, Tamara, Jamie, Jalan, Jamari, Jeremiah Sowell and Anthony Barnes; her great grandchildren, Yasmin Byers (Jalan), Chyna, Indya, Egypt Sowell, Liam White, Cameron Sowell, Adiyah, Lucy Barnes and Nicholas White; her great great grandchildren, Ruby and Zarah Byars; her siblings, James Williamson, Michael Williamson (Nina), Mary Linda Hanes, Ada Taylor (Carl), Betty and Deborah Williamson; and her siblings-in-law, Murray (Doris), William Sowell, Zelander Hockett, Andrew Clemmons, Sr., Lila Mae Carter, Judy Sowell and Numerous. She was also cherished by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
