He is survived by: his wife Cindy Babin; his daughter Alicia R. Wilson (Matt); his sister Pamela Pellegrin (Randy); his grandchildren, Avery Wilson, Reed Wilson and Leah Wilson; and his stepbrothers, Garry Toups (Terri) and Mike Toups (Janet).

Ferrell was diagnosed with Parkinson disease in 2012 and Lewy Body Dementia in 2015.
